Perfect way to express just how much you love her!

I’ve got to be honest with you, it wasn’t until I was a mother myself that I realized just how much my mom did for the entire family! There’s always food to be made and hugs to be given, books to be read and love to be shared. Being a mom is so much work but the best job ever!

Mother’s Day Gift Tags

I’ve partnered with OnlineLabels.com to make these adorable Mother’s Day Gift Tags! I printed them on their Silver Metallic Barbell Labels so that I could attach them to wine glasses. Perfect for a brunch mimosa!

These tags would also work perfectly if you’re a jewelry designer selling products for Mother’s Day. You could offer your customers one of these free labels if you know they’ll be giving it as a gift.

Of course, it just wouldn’t be Mother’s Day if I didn’t have a fun free SVG file for you to use! I hand drew this design in Procreate and then uploaded it to my computer to make it compatible with most digital cutting machines.

There are so many ways you could use this Mother’s Day free svg! As you can see in the example below, it’s a great way to customize a t-shirt. Or what about adding it to a reusable gift bag for years of use?

I’m planning on making cute circle cards with the Mom Circle cutout in the center. They’re going to be so cute that I may just have to make one for myself!

Supplies needed to make a handmade Mother's Day Suncatcher

Time needed: 1 hour.

I’ve never been the biggest fan of birthstone jewelry but now that I have kids, I can’t get enough of it! That’s why I love this Handmade Mother’s Day Suncatcher so much. It’s the perfect reminder of the three most important days of my life!

Supplies:
birthstone beads
tree pendant
beading wire
crimp beads
crimper

  1. String beads

Cut a 12″ section of the wire and secure one end onto a tree branch on the pendant. Thread the first bead all the way down to where the wire and pendant meet. Place bead in open branch space and wrap around another branch to secure.

String beads onto wire and attach to pendant

  2. Continue adding beads

Going one bead at a time and alternating colors, continue adding beads until entire pendant is filled. Make sure to secure fasten the end once all the beads are in place. Wouldn’t want all your work to fall apart!

    Continue adding beads onto pendant

  3. Add hanging wire

Cut another section of wire to create a way to hang the Mother’s Day Suncatcher. You can either use the exact same wire you used for the beads or coated wire for a nicer finish. Keep in mind that the coated wire will need to be secured with a bead crimp and crimper.

Hope you enjoy making this Handmade Mother’s Day Suncatcher as much as I did! It’s the perfect stand-alone gift for the mother who has it all or include it with a gift card for a super special day. Either way, your mother will definitely think of you every time the sun comes shining in!

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and I’ve got a super easy project that will totally make your mom cry! Tell me we’re not the only family in the world that judges the quality of a gift based on the number of happy tears shed by the recipient? Whether she cries or not, this Mother’s Day Song Scarf is sure to be loved!

The Right Stuff

Making this scarf is really easy with your handy Cricut cutting machine! I have the Cricut Maker but this project could easily be done with the Cricut Explore as well. In addition to the cutting machine, you’ll need a scarf and some iron on vinyl. I loved the subtle elegance of Cricut’s Rose Gold Foil Iron On Vinyl on the brown scarf.

Childhood Memories

The trickiest part of this tutorial will probably be deciding what song to place on the scarf! Choose a song that either is important to the two of you or that has an appropriate sentiment. I went with ‘A’ You’re Adorable because I grew up listening to my mom sing this song to me and now sing it to my own children. <cue the waterworks>

Here’s my ‘A’ You’re Adorable File if you want!

Circut Maker cutting Foil Iron On Vinyl

Once you’ve decided on the song and entered the words into Design Space. You can adjust the font and design until you’re happy with the look. I used a nice modern font (Classic Roman) that was available through Cricut Access. Now, just send to your machine and cut. Don’t forget to mirror though!

Weeding the Cricut Foil Iron On Vinyl

As you can see, this project is so easy! Depending on your song, though, the weeding process may take some time. Just make sure to go nice and slow so that you don’t lose any of the vinyl words. Once completely weeded, use your preferred method to transfer the words onto the scarf. I’m absolutely in love with how easy the Easy Press is!

Once cooled, remove the protective backing and admire your gorgeous Mother’s Day Song Scarf!

Happy Mother’s Day

I absolutely love the look of the gold foil on the brown scarf and the fact that it’s the lyrics to an important song? Absolutely beautiful and I know my mom is going to love it! I’m seriously considering making myself one as well. Who says you can’t get yourself a Mother’s Day gift?
