What are your go-to gifts for Father’s Day? I’m a huge fan of gifting edibles since they definitely don’t sit on a shelf collecting dust. Plus, who wouldn’t appreciate a good bar of chocolate?

But we can’t have Father’s Day without a good ugly tie reference!

Making Father’s Day Wrapper

I designed this Father’s Day Candy Bar Wrapper to add a bit of fun to any bar of chocolate (as long as it’s about the same size as this chocolate bar!)

Just use your favorite cutting machine (I’m a big fan of my Cricut!) to cut the file out of cardstock. I went with a brown “suit” but any neutral colors would work.

The inside panel can be printed and cut from printer or sticker paper. You can also use a cutting machine to Print & Cut if you want to make this super easy!

To assemble the Father’s Day Candy Bar Wrapper, just add adhesive to the collar, buttons, and pocket. Press in place on the front of the wrapper. I’ve added score lines to make it super easy to fold the wrapper around the chocolate. Secure the “suit” edge with a strip of strong double-sided tape.

Apply the inside label to the bar, slide it in place, and you’re done!

Father’s Day is just around the corner and if you’re anything like me, you have no idea what you’re going to get the special men in your life.

Actually, I’m thinking of getting my husband an old-fashion shaving kit. You know, the ones that come with a bristle brush, soap, and dish? I would love it if he would go a more natural route with his morning routine and I think a shaving kit with hard soap would help. Any suggestions?

The only thing you need to keep in mind when working on this coloring page is the type of coloring you plan on using. Any paperweight will work if you plan on using crayons or colored pencils. You definitely want to use a thicker cardstock if you’re planning on using markers, though.

I hand-drew all the lettering and face years ago and still print out this coloring page for my husband every year. It’s amazing to see how different their drawings look as they get older!

Father’s Day Matching Aprons Set

Materials:

• Adult Blank Canvas Apron
• Kid’s Blank Canvas Apron
• Cricut Cutting Machine
• Black Heat Transfer Vinyl
• Free “Father’s Day Matching Apron Set” Cutting File (PDF)

Step 1. Use the free “Father’s Day Matching Apron Set” cutting file and your Cricut Cutting Machine to cut out the design from the black Heat Transfer Vinyl (don’t forget to flip!) I love how easy the vinyl from Expressions Vinyl cuts and weeds!

Step 2. Use an iron set to high to apply the vinyl to the center of the aprons. It’s kinda hard to see but I have a super thin protective layer of fabric between the vinyl backing and the iron. It’s perfect for transferring the high heat without warping the vinyl!

Allow the aprons to cool completely and that’s it! How sweet does my husband and baby boy (not such a baby anymore!) look in their matching aprons. We’re planning on hosting a Father’s Day BBQ and these are going to be absolutely perfect! Wouldn’t these be perfect when paired with some cooking or BBQ tools for that special foodie in your life? The only supplies needed for this project are blank t-shirt (I got mine at a local store but here’s something similar from Amazon), a cutting machine, and EasyWeed Stretch Heat Transfer Vinyl in white from Expressions Vinyl, and the Father’s Day T-shirt Free Cutting File found below. I love love love the stretch vinyl for t-shirts because I feel like it lasts longer with heavy wear. It cuts and weeds just as easily as the standard heat transfer vinyl but also gives just slightly when stretched. Highly recommend it!

Open the Father’s Day T-Shirt Free Cutting File in your cutting program. You’ll notice that there’s a blank space after the sentence “Rocking It Since…” Use the cutting program to add the year that your father or husband had their first child. Use a similar font to Arial to match the existing words. Make sure to mirror the image and follow the suggested settings for cutting HTV. Trim and weed to reveal your masterpiece!

Depending if you have a heat press (I wish!) or just a basic iron, layer a protective piece of fabric over the vinyl and begin adhering to the center of the t-shirt. Make sure the vinyl is secure before removing plastic backing.

Easy Popcorn Gift For Father’s Day

Materials:

• Popcorn bucket
• Popcorn
• Hole Punch
• Clear Cellophane Bags
• Baker’s Twine
• “To The Best Pop” Gift Tag (download below)

Step One. Making this Easy Popcorn Gift for Father’s Day couldn’t be easier! Just fill a cellophane bag with either homemade or store-bought popcorn. Punch a hole in the corner of the gift tag, add the baker’s twine, and tie around the cellophane bag to close. And that’s it, not even a second step!

And that’s it! You can make this project as simple or as complicated as time permits by including homemade popcorn (this Samoa Popcorn recipe looks amazing!) or just going with some yummy store-bought gourmet popcorn (love Popcornopolis!) Thought it would be a fun Summer activity to have my boys come up with a few favorite varieties of popcorn this year to give my dad and husband. Anything to keep them busy, right?
