Green grass wreath with mini speckled foam eggs and a pink ribbon.

Spring is quickly approaching, and all of your thoughts are on it (me too!). Whether you’re still fighting snow or wearing flip-flops, get a head start on decorating your door with this Easter Egg Spring Wreath DIY. It’s a simple spring wreath that’s sure to make your guests smile. When spring arrives, you’ll be thrilled that you have already completed this adorable wreath!

Supplies needed to make a Spring Wreath

How to Make Easter Egg Spring Wreath

  1. Begin by filling the concave side of the wire wreath with large clumps of kelly green excelsior. Wrap the wreath with green floral wire, securing the grass in position. Continue until you’ve wrapped all of the wreath. Don’t worry if it looks like the grass isn’t as secure on the wreath; you’ll be adding tons of hot glue with eggs. Can’t find wood grass? You can also use moss as well.
  2. Glue a speckled egg to the wreath’s back and hold it in place until secure. I wanted to ensure that I hid the green wire, so I first added eggs to those areas.
  3. Fill the wreath with eggs until you’re satisfied with the look. I’m going to forewarn you that this step takes a long time, but it’s well worth it for those nice full effects and coverage. You may either work on this wreath one section at a time over the next few weeks or watch a movie and finish it in one shot.
  4. If you’re not sure if you’ve used enough eggs, hold the wreath against a wall to double-check for any bald spots. If necessary, add a few more eggs!
  5. Make a bow from a 30″ length of ribbon, if necessary. This lovely pink ribbon is from Dollar Tree!
  6. Use the hot glue gun one more time to secure the ribbon in place. Take extra care with this step since the hot glue is scorching and travels quickly through the thin ribbon material!

Customizing Your Spring Wreath

As soon as the ribbon glue has hardened completely, you can hang your adorable DIY Easter egg wreath! I highly recommend hanging it indoors or on a covered porch since the grass may not hold up to the test of nature. Of course, there are tons of ways to customize this spring wreath to make it your own.

  • You could always add some florals or greenery to make it look more natural.
  • Or use a grapevine wreath as the base and a burlap bow for a more rustic look.
  • Add some cute details for a felt flower wreath
  • Cut paper tulips or daisies to add
  • and so many more ideas based on your inspiration!

Look no further! With Infusible Ink, you can create a super cute and easy Easter Bunny Hoodie in no time at all. This project is perfect for both children and adults, and it can be made in any color or style that you desire. We will provide some background on Infusible Ink and how to use it to create your very own Easter Bunny Hoodie, so read on to get started!

Want to watch a quick video tutorial instead?

Here’s a quick run-through of how I made the Easter Bunny Hoodie just in case you like watching tutorials instead of reading them!

Background on Infusible Ink

Infusible Ink is Cricut’s version of sublimation. It is perfect for crafting projects, and it can be used to create everything from t-shirts to hoodies to aprons. Infusible Ink comes in a variety of colors, and it is easy to use. Simply cut out your design using a Cricut machine, weed out the excess material, and heat it up with an Easy Press or other high-temperature heat press. Your design will be permanently attached to your fabric in just a few seconds!

Since Infusible Ink is infused directly into the fabric, this is a perfect option for items made for kids. You don’t have to worry about the ink fading or peeling off over time, and it is also machine-washable. That’s exactly why I went with Infusible Ink for the bunny ears!

Tips for using Infusible Ink

When using Infusible Ink, it is important to remember a few key tips:

Infusible Ink Tips:

  • Be sure to use a high temp heat press when applying the ink. A regular household iron will not get hot enough to properly fuse the ink to your fabric.
  • You’ll need to mirror your design before cutting or else it’ll infuse backward.
  • Weed out all of the excess material before heat pressing your design. This is easiest if you first bend and fold the cut lines.
  • Definitely use a healthy amount of heat-resistant tape to keep the design from shifting during heating.
  • Take time to enjoy the reveal. It’s my favorite part!
Canvas Infusible Ink bag on yellow background with rainbow and words, "It's a good day to make music. Mrs. Oliver"

Supplies needed:

  • Basic hooded sweatshirt
  • Microfiber towel (Dollar Tree) or another sublimation-friendly fabric
  • Cricut cutting machine
  • Infusible Ink Pink
  • Black Heat Transfer Vinyl
  • (Optional) Pink & White Heat Transfer Vinyl
  • Sewing Materials
  • Free Bunny Ears Hoodie Pattern (see below)
Supplies needed to make the Easter Bunny Hoodie

How to make an Easter Bunny Hoodie

Now that you know a little bit more about Infusible Ink, it’s time to make an Easter Bunny Hoodie!

  1. Use the free Bunny Ears Pattern to cut four shapes from the microfiber towel. Sew around the edges (1/4″ seam) to create two bunny ears.
  2. Flip ears right side out and sew around the edges again (1/4″ seam).
  3. Use the free pattern to cut the inner ear section from the pink Infusible Ink.
  4. Use the manufacturer’s instructions to apply to each ear.
  5. Fold the ears in half and sew along the top of the hoodie.
  6. Use a Cricut machine to cut out a bunny face from black heat transfer vinyl and apply it to the hoodie.

What is an SVG File?

SVG stands for Scalable Vector Graphic. It’s a file format that allows you to create vector-based images that can be scaled up or down without losing any quality. SVG files are ideal for use in print and web design. You can use SVG files for a variety of purposes, including:

– Creating logos

– Designing illustrations

– Creating icons

– Making patterns

and so much more!

How to Use an SVG File?

SVG files are used in various ways, but the majority of my readers use them with a digital cutting machine. There are a few on the market, but my absolute favorite is the Cricut Maker 3. With this machine, you can upload an SVG file, and it will cut it out for you! You can use any color of vinyl, paper, or fabric to make truly unique projects.

Suppose you don’t have a cutting machine, no worries! You can still use some of these files to create fun Easter crafts with just a printer, a sharp craft knife, and some patience. I did all of my projects that way for years!

So go ahead and download these free SVG files now and get creative! We can’t wait to see what you make! Happy crafting!

Ideas for how to use the Hip Hop Easter Bunny Free SVG file:

– Make an Easter Bunny T-shirt or Hoodie

– Use the design as a stencil for easter egg decorating

– Cut out bunny shapes from paper and make a garland

– Make easter cards or gift tags with the bunny design

– Embellish a tote bag or Easter basket with the bunny SVG file

– Cut out shapes from construction paper and use them to decorate easter eggs

– Use the easter bunny SVG file to create a stencil, then use it to spray paint design on a t-shirt

– Make a card using the free SVG file and some pretty patterned paper

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath https://www.triedandtrueblog.com/rainbow-bunny-peeps-wreath/ https://www.triedandtrueblog.com/rainbow-bunny-peeps-wreath/#comments Tue, 16 Mar 2021 14:55:00 +0000 https://www.triedandtrueblog.com/?p=8988 I’ve been making Peeps® Wreaths for 6 years now and honestly, this is one has got to be one of my favorites! I usually use the classic chick shape but couldn’t find them in all the colors so I instead switched to bunnies. Aren’t they cute?

Make this super fun and colorful Rainbow Bunny PeepsRainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath to celebrate Spring! Tons of ways to customize it to fit your decor!

This post may contain affiliate links for your convenience and to assist in the maintenance of this site.

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath

Materials:

Step One. Ok, peeps, this isn’t rocket science but there are a few hints that will make this project so much easier and enjoyable. First one: Completely remove the wrappers and let the Peeps® dry out for a couple days before making the wreath. They’ll be much easier to work with if they’re not so sticky!

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath - Supplies

Step Two. Next hint? Use two toothpicks per bunny to secure in place. This will prevent them from spinning on a single point and shifting on the wreath.

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath - Attach

Step Three. Continue placing the bunnies in a circle around the front and outer edge of wreath. Once completed, fill in the center ring with vertically placed bunnies.

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath - Inner Ring

Step Four. Tie a large bow out of the burlap ribbon and insert a floral pin in the back. Secure in place at the top of the wreath.

Rainbow Bunny Peeps® Wreath - Ribbon

And that’s it, your super “sweet” wreath is good to go!

In the past, a few people have mentioned that heat or humidity have caused some of the Peeps® to fall off. If this is a problem, just dab a bit of glue to where the toothpick meets the sugary surface.

Another issue that has been brought up in the past is the ant factor. I would highly suggest a couple coats of clear spray varnish if you know ants are a problem where you live.

Such a quick, easy, and inexpensive gift!

Hand holding Easter Egg Treat Pouch filled with pastel candy.

Is there anything sweeter than this little pastel colored pouch? Literally and figuratively! They’re the perfect little gift for your classroom or church group.

Plus they’re super easy and inexpensive to make. Let’s get started!

Hand holding a small oval label printed to look like Easter egg with clear center.
Sheet of oval labels printed with Easter egg designs.

To make this Easter Egg Treat Pouch, you’re going to need to download the free color printable from OnlineLabels.com. I also have a coloring page version you can grab below.

Their large oval labels are absolutely perfect for this project. They’re a great option if you’re needing to make more than a couple of these!

Cut out the center section from one side and adhere to a small oval of food-safe clear plastic. I just cut up a sandwich baggie for mine!

Make sure to make the clear oval slightly larger than the inside oval but not so large that it goes all the way out to edge. Leaving some of the adhesive exposed makes it much easier to affix the two sides together.

Once the clear plastic is in place, line up the two sides and seal shut. Don’t forget to leave a small opening for filling.

Slip in small treat (I used pastel M&M’s) and then seal shut!

Easter Egg Treat Pouch Coloring Page

If you don’t have access to a color printer, the coloring page version is for you! It’s also a great option if you want to use this as a kids’ activity.

You can print it out on plain paper and have kids color in the fun shapes. To assemble, just trim excess and use tape or glue to adhere shut.

Such a fun and inexpensive project to make with kids!

Supplies

Supplies needed to make Easter Bunny Decoupage Coaster

Instructions

Apply base layer of paint to all coasters. I painted coral and white on the bunny coasters and just white on the flower ones. Remember that the napkins are extremely thin and will show whatever color they have underneath them.

Painting the background of a hexigon wood coaster.

Once paint has dried completely, apply first coat of Mod Podge. Don’t apply this layer too thick or you’ll get some bubbles and folding. Separate the layers of the napkins to a single printed sheet.

Layering a bunny napkin over the coaster.

Apply Mod Podge to the sides and press tissue down. I cut the corners so that it would lay flat.

Applying Mod Podge to the side of the coaster.

Once the first layer is dry, apply another coat of Mod Podge over the entire coaster. Allow to dry completely before using!

One final layer over the coaster.

Pink and purple Mini Bunny Easter Baskets

Is there anything quite so adorable than these Mini Bunny Easter Baskets? (Answer: No!) They’re easy to make with just a few felt sheets and a tiny bit of vinyl.

Don’t have a Cricut cutting machine? No worries, I have options for you below!

[feast_advanced_jump_to]

Supplies Needed

Supplies needed to make this project.

Instructions for Mini Easter Baskets

Begin by using the free PDF file to cut out the basket shapes. You can either cut with your Cricut or a sharp pair of scissors. If you’re using a digital cutting machine, open the SVG file in your program and cut the face/ears/tail vinyl pieces.

If you don’t have a cutting machine, you can always use fabric paint to hand-draw the face details as well. Gluing a pompom on the back for the tail would look adorable!

Hand holding cut felt before assembling Mini Easter Baskets.

Let’s assemble the basket now! Place the back piece edge onto the side piece edge and sew from the top down. Make sure to stop about 1/4″ from the bottom! Continue sewing all the sides together until Mini Easter Basket is formed.

Sewing the felt pieces together.

Position the bottom square in place and sew around the edge to finish your basket. Depending on your sewing skills level, you may need to trim away excess felt from the bottom.

Adding the bottom felt piece to the mini Easter basket.

Filler Suggestions

These adorable Mini Bunny Easter Baskets can be fill with a tiny bit of artificial grass and mini egg candies. Or what about just a single decorated egg for an easy place setting?

I’m planning on adding mini toys and pencils for my kids. They’re going to love it! Hope you enjoy making and using these for your Easter party!

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - Supplies

Instructions:

Step 1. Use the files found below to cut your stencil from vinyl scraps. I didn’t have a piece large enough to cut the entire image so I separated and cut from two different scraps. You could even break the image up into three pieces if you need to. Once cut, remove the letters and bunny shape (use for another project!) so that you’re left with a stencil.

Free “Every Bunny Welcome” File (PDF / SVG / Studio)

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - WeedStep 2. Use transfer tape to move the stencil onto the wood sign. My sign was really smooth so the vinyl stuck just fine. You may need to pre-treat your wood sign with a layer of sealant first if you’re having a hard time getting the stencil to stick.

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - PlaceStep 3. Use chalk paint and a dauber to apply a light coat of paint over the stencil, taking care to stay within the vinyl stencil. Remember, less is more so go easy on the paint. You’ll thank me when it comes time to use the sandpaper!

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - PaintStep 4. Allow paint to dry slightly before removing the vinyl stencil. You can see in the picture below that the stencil stuck so well that it removed some wood slivers. I like the look it gave to my vintage sign but if you don’t, make sure to use a less adhesive tack vinyl.

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - RemoveStep 5. You can either leave the image as it is (clean and minimal) or use a piece of sandpaper to distress the sign a bit. Totally up to you!

"Every Bunny Welcome" Easter Vintage Sign - SandStep 6. Next you’ll need to decide how you plan on using your sign. If you’re planning on leaning it up against something on a mantle or table, you can just leave it as is. If you plan on hanging it, you may need to attach either a ribbon (as I did) or a couple saw tooth hangers.

Includes free cutting files!I don’t know about you guys but my kids are already super excited about the arrival of the Easter Bunny in a few weeks. Thought it would be fun to start a new tradition of leaving out some carrots for him the night before and of course, just had to make an accompanying Easter Bunny Carrot Plate!

Gather Supplies

Making this plate is really easy with a handy cutting machine and some vinyl! I’m quite partial to the Silhouette and Expressions Vinyl but you’re welcome to use what you have on hand. The plate was only 4 bucks at Target (find it here!) and is the perfect size to hold a few carrots. My cutting files are sized to fit this 8″ x 8″ plate but will work with other similarly sized plates as well.

After cutting and weeding the vinyl, move all the elements to transfer paper to apply on the plate. I left the black line under the nose a bit long so that you could customize the look. Once you’ve decided how long you want that section to be just use a craft knife to trim away excess.

With the vinyl applied to the plate, all you need to do is set it out the night before Easter with a few carrots and you’re good to go! I know my kids are going to get a kick out of finding half eaten carrots next to their baskets on Easter morning. I hope years from now they’ll remember the excitement that came from leaving treats out for the Easter Bunny. I know I will!
